2 days old-What are we doing wrong? Gas and burping.?

I know we have trouble burping our daughter (8 days old she is) and at the hospital they told us that babies who are feed sometimes release their gas more from their bottoms :) It is possible that the formula you are using just isn't the type for your baby. Sometimes you go through a few different kinds until you find the one that agrees with them. On bottle I usually burp every ounce, and maybe where your baby is a bit younger burp every half ounce.
