Could any nation could have enslaved Chinese people?

Slaves were common in the past. From the ancient Egyptians and Greeks using slaves to do manual tasks to the more recent American settlers using African slaves to do plantation. I was wondering if any nation could possibly have enslaved Chinese people, even a small number? Why or why not?
