I was watching the movie blow from 2001 with johnny depp and in the beginning it shows some people who were?

making cocaine, but in real life who really makes cocaine for international drug cartels which are based in either mexico or colombia? is it poor peasants? since the death of pablo escobar and cartels in colombia, is drug production still taking place in colombia as it used to? how has the scene changed in colombia after the collapse of their international drug cartels? how are cartels now operating in colombia with pablo escobar long gone? is cocaine still being med produced in colombia or not since mexico is now more bigger in this production? so who really makes the cocaine for these mexican/colombian cartels? how much money do the people who are actually making the cocaine in some tiny village in remote colombia really make? how do the coca fields never become fully decomssioned? can a law enforcement guy please tell me...............
