Relocate to chicago without a job?

I have graduated college in May, have AA in Journalism and BA in Communications. Want to work as a paralegal, lol. Currently having REALLY hard time finding work in the NYC area. should I relocate to Chicago?? how hard is it to find work there and how quickly could I get a place, job, etc. I'm a single female, 26....I have read up on Edgewater (like racially diversity, plus don't have a car) and that might be a good place for me. any thoughts on all of this? TY.
