Will a mobile broadband card give my laptop its own ISP?
I am about to get a laptop through my company but I need to research something that the FAQ on Verizon's site can't answer and I'm not willing to wait an hour on hold to find out. So I need to be able to take my laptop anywhere (even the beach) and access the internet, so I've deduced that I need a mobile broadband card and not a wireless card to do this. I need to know, though, if the mobile broadband card basically secures my laptop its own connection to the internet and thus its own IP address that will not change if my location does. Is this correct?
